Team Spotlight: Macy

Meet Macy, marketing coordinator at Audentio.

Macy is responsible for content creating and marketing across our various brands.

What is your role at Audentio?

I primarily work on content creation and marketing for our blog, client projects and internal work. On a daily basis, I can be found brainstorming content ideas, staying up-to-date on the latest technology news and writing and producing content.

What’s your favorite part of the job?

One of my favorite parts of my job is learning new things on a daily basis. I don’t have a background in the technology sector, so each day I find myself learning. I also love letting my creative juices flow through writing and content creation.

What advice would you give someone looking to enter a creative field?

If you’re looking to enter a creative field, I would recommend that you make sure you know what works best for you. Take a few minutes to reflect on yourself and understand how you best function creatively.

• What time of day are you the most creative? If you are most creative in the afternoon, plan around that! Spend your mornings planning and getting other tasks done so you can use your afternoon time to be your most creative.
• Batch your tasks! Depending what area of the creative field you are working in, you likely have a variety of tasks that you need to complete. Instead of writing blog posts throughout the week, choose one day that you focus on JUST writing blog posts. Obviously this is not always possible, but this helps keep your creative juices flowing. Batching your tasks means that you’re not jumping back and forth from your email to writing to meetings to conference calls, etc. Rather, you are focusing all of your attention and creativity on one task without having to refocus every time you look away to check your email.

How long have you worked in the field?

This is my first position in the UI/UX field. Prior to Audentio, I worked a few different roles focused largely on communications, content creation, social media marketing and building an online presence for brands.

What are your favorite hobbies/interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I am very passionate about health and fitness. I also love being outdoors and spending time with my family.
