Creating Topics For Forums

Topics can automatically generate Thread Topics for forums not already linked to a Thread Topic. Generated Thread Topics will have the same name as the forum and a background color will be randomly assigned. You can edit your generated topics within Topics > Thread topics.

To generate topics, go to Topics > Tools > Create topics for forums. Here you can choose the forums to generate Thread Topics and the number of items to process per page which can be left at the default value normally. Click Rebuild Now to generate Thread Topics.

Rebuild Topic Counters

Recalculates last post information per Topic as well as number of threads & posts in Topic.

Batch Moderation

The main topic of each thread determines where the thread ‘lives’. To ensure each thread has the correct main topic assigned, go to Topics > Tools > Batch moderation. Choose the action and thread criteria and click Rebuild Now to fix thread primary topic assignments. This will need to be done in order for existing threads to have a Thread Topic assigned.
