Welcome Section

The Welcome Section is a component whose purpose is to quickly describe the forum to your guests, and encourage them to register. Because this component is intended to encourage registration, we suggest it be visible to guests only. However, it can be used as a site banner as well. If so, we suggest either removing or changing the register button.

General options

Welcome block image hero - Adds the welcome block image to the entire header component. (Note: Only applicable when welcome block is in header.)

Welcome section visible to - Quick permission options for the welcome section. Options are:

• Everybody
• Nobody (disabled)
• Guests - Enabled only for guests.
• Permission Based - Enabled only for users with permissions to view.

Welcome section location - Sets the location of the Welcome Section.

Display welcome section on forum list only - Hides the Welcome Section on every page other than the forum list.

Content options

Welcome section title - Sets the title text.

Welcome section text - Sets the body text.

Welcome section sign up text - Sets the button text.

Welcome section button url - Sets the URL for the button.

Welcome section icon - Sets the class name for an icon of an icon font.
