XPress

Installation

Please make sure to install XLink prior to installing/upgrading XPress.

  1. Your first step is to download the add-on from your customer area. You will be asked to provide some information before downloading. Once you download, save the .zip file somewhere you are familiar with.
  2. Next, you will want to extract the files. The archive contains one folder which contains the XenForo add-on files. The WordPress files can be found under upload/src/addons/ThemeHouse/XPress/_remote if needed.
XenForo

Please install XLink prior to XPress.

Install & Upgrade (Recommended)

To install using Install & Upgrade, please refer to the Install & Upgrade documentation.

Manual Installation

  1. Extract the XPress archive in the XenForo folder. After that is done you will need to upload the contents inside the upload folder into your root XenForo directory.
  2. After you have uploaded the files you will need to navigate to the Add-ons section within your XenForo admin panel. Here you will see it listed under "Installable add-ons". Just click Install!
  3. Congratulations! You have officially installed the XPress add-on on your site.

ZIP Upload (XenForo 2.1. and higher)

  1. Your first step is to download the add-on from your customer area. You will be asked to provide some information before downloading. Once you download, save the .zip file somewhere you are familiar with.
  2. After you have downloaded the file, you will need to navigate to the Add-ons section within your XenForo admin panel. Click “Install/upgrade from archive” and follow the on screen instructions. When asked for an add-on archive, select the previously downloaded file.
  3. Congratulations! You have officially installed the XPress add-on on your site.
WordPress

Automated (Recommended)

  1. Please ensure that your php process has write permissions to the following directories and files:
  2. `WordPress root`/wp-content

    `WordPress root`/wp-config.php

  3. XLink will automatically install the XPress plugin and theme on your WordPress installation for you when you add a platform link in the XLink platform manager.
  4. The XPress plugin will be activated by default and is required.

    The XPress theme will not be activated automatically, but can be activated manually through the WordPress theme dashboard afterwards.

Manual Installation

Plugin (Mandatory)

  1. Upload the content found under upload/src/addons/ThemeHouse/XPress/_remote/wp-content/plugins to wp-content/plugins inside your root WordPress directory.
  2. After you have uploaded the files, you will need to navigate to the Plugins section within your WordPress dashboard. Here you will see a new entry “XPress” in the list. Just click Activate!
  3. Congratulations! You have officially installed the XPress plugin on your blog.

Theme (Optional)

  1. Upload the content found under upload/src/addons/ThemeHouse/XPress/_remote/wp-content/themes to wp-content/themes inside your root WordPress directory.
  2. After you have uploaded the files, you will need to navigate to the Theme section within your WordPress dashboard. Here you will see a new entry “XPress” in the list. Just click Activate!
  3. Congratulations! You have officially installed the XPress theme on your blog.
